Trellix File and Removable Media Protection - SaaS — December 2022 Release

Assign permission to users to view system based on system tree permissions — In this release, the user must be assigned the role with permission view "Systems Tree" tab in addition to the other required permissions. As an administrator, you can navigate to Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator > System tree and select view "Systems Tree" tab to give permission for a given user to view system based on the user's defined roles.

Events Retention Update — The Trellix FRP default events retention period has changed to 100 days. Beginning with Trellix FRP - SaaS December 2022, the events retention policy is applied to the events displayed on queries and reports. As a result, lesser incidents displayed on the queries and reports compared to previous versions.

Rebranding changes — As Trellix continues to evolve, you will begin to see our solutions reflect our new name and brand. In this release, you will notice the following changes in the software. This rebranding change requires an effort from your end if your enterprise manages root certificate updates manually.

As part of rebranding, the certificates used to sign our software have been updated. If your enterprise automatically updates root certificates, the software update/installation does not require any additional effort. However, if your enterprise manages root certificate updates manually, you need to install the new intermediate and root certificates.
