This procedure describes how new customers activate the bundled license for their NDR hardware.
Prerequisites
You have received your NDR hardware shipped as NDRS <NX model>.
You have received bundled licenses for both NDR Console and NDR.
To activate the bundled licenses:
Deploy the NDR. The settings for NDR Sensor operation are pre-configured.
Important
For all NDR supported virtual models, the sensor operates in "Boost" mode by default when in NDR mode.
Apply the bundled licenses by following the instructions in the license documentation you received.
Use the following CLI to check and configure Network Detection and Response status and operational modes:
show version: Displays product edition, series, Network Detection and Response operational mode, and bandwidth.show ndr-sensor status: Displays Network Detection and Response status and operational mode.ndr-sensor mode: Switches between Network Detection and Response modes.
Select the desired mode (defend, boost, or flare) based on infrastructure and business needs. Refer to the Operational modes section for more information about operational modes.
Verify that your appliance is running in Network Detection and Response mode.
