Existing NX customers must acquire an NDR license to use NDR on their models. NDR mode conversion is performed by the NDR mode CLI (Command Line Interface), which becomes available after NDR licenses are installed.
Note
You must restart the system to activate the selected operational mode. A restart is essential to fully initialize the new configuration and ensure the system is operating with the intended settings.
Purchase an NDR feature license: Acquire the necessary feature license to enable the NDR Sensor functionality.
Install the NDR Sensor license: Install the purchased NDR license on the NDR Console.
Convert to Sensor Mode: Use the CLI on the appliance to convert the existing model into NDR mode.
Use the following NDR CLI commands to convert the NX models to NDR mode.
ndr-sensor enable: Enables NDR feature license on the appliance.show version: Displays product edition, series, NDR operational mode, and bandwidth.show ndr-sensor status: Displays NDR status and operational mode.ndr-sensor mode: Switches between NDR modes.
Select the desired mode (defend, boost, or flare) based on infrastructure and business needs.
Refer to the Operational modes for more information about operational modes.
Verify that the system is running in NDR mode.
Important
The system model name may display as NX, but the operational mode reflects the current NDR mode.
