Configure 100G Active Fail-Open chassis parameters

You can access the command line interface through the console port (serial terminal emulator) and web-based management via a secure HTTPS connection on the management port (SSH remote shell emulator).

Steps:

  1. Ensure that the chassis power is turned on.

  2. Using an RJ45 RS232 console cable, connect a PC that is running the HyperTerminal to the Active Fail-Open Kit chassis.

  3. Launch the HyperTerminal and set the following communication parameters.

    • Baud rate: 115200

    • Data bits: 8

    • Parity: None

    • Stop bits: 1

    • Flow Control: XON/XOFF

  4. Click OK. The CLI banner and login prompt are displayed.

    Note

    The default Username and Password are Trellix00. The password is configurable.

  5. Type the following:

    1. Enable

    2. Configure

    3. management eth-if ip x.x.x.x

    4. management eth-if ip-mask y.y.y.y

    5. management eth-if default-gateway z.z.z.z

    6. write memory

      Note

      Reboot of the system is not required.

  6. To view the current network settings, use the following command:

    show management configured

    Sample output:
