The HelixConnect client connects your Trellix Network Security appliance directly to the Helix Enterprise cloud using a secure VPN connection. This allows Helix Enterprise to collect alert artifacts from the appliances.
The HelixConnect client is automatically enabled when Helix Enterprise mode is enabled on the appliance, assuming the prerequisite steps are performed. The appliance also automatically registers with Helix Enterprise through the HelixConnect client.
The HelixConnect client can function independently. The HelixConnect client can be disabled even when the Helix mode is enabled. When you disable Helix Enterprise mode, you can choose to the keep the HelixConnect client in enabled mode.
Note
The NX appliance can send data through HelixConnect over IPv6 when an IPv6 address is configured on the ether1/either2 interface.
For information about establishing connectivity with the HelixConnect client and enabling the functionality it offers, see the Helix Integration Guide.
