You can configure operational modes for an inline policy on an interface to support detection mode and blocking mode by using the Network Security appliance Web UI or CLI:
Detection mode monitors all packets and does not block any traffic. Blocking mode blocks infectious attacks, while allowing all benign packets to pass through the interface.
