Prev Next

Use the CLI commands in this topic to configure the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) within an Amazon Web Services (AWS) endpoint on the Trellix appliance. The appliance sends the network event logs to Helix in the AWS endpoint that you specified for further analysis.

To configure the VPC within an AWS endpoint:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Specify the hostname of the VPC within an AWS endpoint. The VPC endpoint takes the form <customer_instance>.receiver.apps.fireeye.com. Port 443 is the default.

hostname (config) # tapsender VPC <hostname>

where <hostname> is the hostname of the VPC within an AWS endpoint.

  3. Verify the hostname of the VPC within an AWS endpoint.

hostname (config) # show tapsender VPCIP
    TAP VPC is tapqa04-log.map.abc.com
