Enabling or disabling custom rules using the CLI

Follow these steps to enable or disable custom rules on the appliance or sensor using the CLI.

To enable custom rules:
  1. Enable the CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Enable custom rules.

    hostname (config) # fenet security-content custom rule enable
  3. Verify the status for custom rules.

    hostname (config) # show fenet security-content custom-rule
    Custom Rules:
    Enabled              : yes
    
  4. Save your changes.

    hostname (config) # write memory
    Saving configuration file ... Done!
To disable custom rules:
  1. Enable the CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Disable custom rules.

    hostname (config) # no fenet security-content custom rule enable
  3. Verify the status for custom rules.

    hostname (config) # show fenet security-content custom-rule
    Custom Rules:
      Enabled              : no
