Enabling or disabling the Communications Broker Sender using the CLI

Use the CLI commands to enable or disable the Communications Broker Sender.

To enable the Communications Broker Sender:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Enable the Comm Broker on the appliance.

    hostname (config) # commbroker enable

    If the Comm Broker is enabled to receive and send third-party logs to Helix Enterprise on the Network Security appliance, the following message appears:

    Enabling commbroker

  3. Verify the status of the Comm Broker.

    hostname (config) # show commbroker status
    Commbroker status
            State:    Enable
            Running Status:    Running
            Platform support:    Supported
To disable Communications Broker Sender:
  1. Go to CLI configuration mode.

    hostname > enable
    hostname # configure terminal
  2. Disable the Comm Broker on the appliance.

    hostname (config) # no commbroker enable

    If the Comm Broker is disabled, the following message appears:

    Disabling commbroker
  3. Verify the status of the Comm Broker.

    hostname (config) # show commbroker status
    Commbroker status
            State:    Disable
            Running Status:    Not Running
            Platform support:    Supported
