How to procure vIPS components Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) files from Trellix

The following section contains the procedure to procure vIPS components VHD files from Trellix.

Before you begin

  • You should have an Azure Linux machine with Azure CLI installed.
  • You should have Contributor or higher role in Azure account.

Task

  1. Login to the Azure CLI in the Linux machine in Azure.
  2. Execute the following command block to copy the VHD file to the customers storage account:
    az storage blob copy start --account-key <Account_Key> --account-name <Strorage_Account_Name> --destination-blob <VHD_Name> --destination-container <Container_Name> --source-uri <Source_URI_for_the_Image>
    Option Definition
    Account_Key Key for your storage account
    Storage_Account_Name Storage name where you want the VHD file to be copied to
    VHD_Name Name for the VHD file you are copying
    Container_Name Container name where you want the VHD file to be copied to
    Source_URI_for_the_Image Source URL for the vIPS component :

  3. Repeat step 2 for Manager, Controller, and Virtual IPS Sensor separately.
  4. Create an Azure image for the vIPS components separately using the copied VHD file. For more information, see the section Create an Azure image from the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) file.
