Use the commands in this section to synchronize configuration settings from one appliance in an HA pair to the peer appliance.
Note
All mismatched settings are synchronized with the source appliance at the same time. If necessary, you can manually adjust individual settings later.
Log in to the Central Management System CLI.
Enable the CLI configuration mode:
hostname > enable hostname # configure terminal hostname (config) #
Synchronize the configuration from either appliance:
hostname (config) # cmc ha nx <pair> sync <targetAppliance> config with <sourceAppliance>
where
<pair>is the name of the HA pair,<sourceAppliance>is the name of the appliance whose settings you want to keep, and<targetAppliance>is the name of the appliance whose settings you want to update. (The appliance name is displayed in theshow cmc appliancescommand output).Verify that the appliance configuration is synchronized:
hostname (config) # show cmc ha nx <pair>
Save your changes:
hostname (config) # write memory
Example
The following example uses the nx-2 appliance settings to synchronize the configuration settings on the Acme_NXHA pair. For example, if the NTP (Network Time Protocol) servers do not match, this command overwrites the nx-1 NTP server settings with the nx-2 settings.
hostname (config) # cmc ha nx Acme_NXHA sync nx-1 config with nx-2 Configuration is synced with nx-2 successfully hostname (config) # show cmc ha nx Acme_NXHA ...
