Database Backup

Steps:

For more information, see ipsmanager database backup in the CLI commands section of the Trellix Intrusion Prevention System Product Guide.

  1. Log in to the Manager shell using a console client with the credentials below:

    • Username: admin

    • Password: admin

  2. Stop the Manager service using no ipsmanager enable command in Manager shell.

  3. Execute ipsmanager database backup <all | audit | config | event | trend> comment "<filename>" command in the Manager shell.

    The following table lists the parameters:

    Parameter

    Description

    all

    Backup all tables in the IPS Manager database.

    audit

    Backup audit tables in the IPS Manager database.

    config

    Backup config tables in the IPS Manager database.

    event

    Backup event tables in the IPS Manager database.

    trend

    Backup trend tables in the IPS Manager database.

    <filename>

    Provide a file name for the backup.

The database backup process will be initiated. You can run show ipsmanager database backup status to check the progress.
