Prev Next

NS9600 Sensor provides multiple high-capacity network links over different physical media. You can configure the NS9600 as:

  • Standalone Sensor

  • Stack Sensor

  • Standalone Suricata Sensor

  • Stack Suricata Sensor

Depending on your license, a single NS9600 Sensor supports throughput of 20 Gbps, 40 Gbps, or 60 Gbps. Suricata-configured Sensors support only a 60 Gbps license.

Physical installation and functionality are identical for standalone NS9600 Sensors and standalone Suricata Sensors, unless otherwise specified. This section gives a physical description of the NS9600 Sensor.

Important

The Suricata Sensor is a standalone product that uses Suricata engines and does not support IPS functionality. Do not confuse the Suricata Sensor with the IPS Sensor, which includes integrated Suricata support.
