The following topics explain how to configure ports for a whitelist using the Network Security appliance Web UI or CLI:
When you enable the ports that you defined on a port whitelist, traffic on these ports will not be submitted for further analysis. All the ports that match the known port entries are whitelisted. When a port whitelist is disabled on the Network Security appliance, the ports are submitted for analysis.
Note
A port whitelist is disabled by default.
Prerequisites
Administrator or Operator access to the Network Security appliance.
Determine the ports that you want to add to a port whitelist.
Enable the port whitelist.
