This Server Task migrates RM recovery events from multiple ePO - On-prem servers to a single SaaS tenancy. This is useful if there are plans to decommission the ePO - On-prem server. This task allows events from all available systems on ePO - On-prem, regardless of their individual migration status. Once migrated, these events enable helpdesk operators to recover RM devices from ePO - SaaS.
Run the RM recovery event migration Server Task manually
You can run the Server Task before, during, or after Trellix FRP endpoint migration. We recommend running it before migrating Trellix FRP endpoints. This ensures helpdesk operators can recover removable media devices from the ePO - SaaS console once Trellix FRP endpoints are managed in SaaS.
Task
On the ePO - On-prem console, select Menu → Automation → Server Tasks.
Select FRP: Migrate All Removable Media Recovery Events to ePO SaaS and click Run.
A single execution of the task migrates only recovery events available at the start of execution. To migrate events added later, run the task again. Alternatively, schedule the task to run periodically. For more information, see Schedule RM recovery event migration Server Task.
When the tasks are complete, the results can be viewed in the Server Task Log and Audit Log.
Schedule RM recovery event migration Server Task
We recommend scheduling this Server Task to run regularly. This ensures newly-initialized removable media devices from Trellix FRP endpoints still managed by ePO - On-prem can be recovered from the ePO - SaaS console.
Task
On the Server Tasks page, click Edit in FRP: Migrate All Removable Media Recovery Events to ePO SaaS.
On the Description tab, enable the Schedule Status, then click Next.
On the Actions tab, update the settings or click Next to continue. For more information, see Prerequisites.
On the Schedule tab, configure the Start date and End date, then click Next.
By default, it runs every 12 hours. We recommend this interval because it uses system resources to preprocess RM recovery events for migration.
On the Summary tab, review the configuration, then click Save.
